Aged Care Reform Update for GPs: New Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
Resource List
Resource Description

This 1 hour and 2-minute webinar by Primary Health Tasmania is on the New Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

Aged Care Reform Update for GPs is a 3-part webinar series. Session One will focus on the New Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

The new strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, including a new focus on clinical care and food/nutrition, will take effect from 1 November 2025 under the new Aged Care Act. While the standards are designed for aged care providers and their staff, General Practitioners (GPs) are integral to delivering high-quality care to older people, making an understanding of the new requirements, particularly regarding clinical care, crucial for providing effective and person-centred services.
