Six months after the launch of Tasmania’s Transforming outpatient services: A four-year strategy to improve access and quality of public outpatient services in Tasmania, we will centre our discussion on improvements within the “Connecting Care” section of the strategy and the actions that affect our key partners in the primary care sector, including GPs.
Our focused presentation will explore the work our Outpatient Transformation Program team are doing in:
• Clinic administration and governance
• Outpatient Central Services
• eReferrals implementation
• Transitioning to Clinical Prioritisation Criteria
• Increasing patient attendance at specialist clinic appointments
This is the first in what we hope will be a collegial conversation and discussion with GPs, practice managers and primary health care sector workers on this important transformation in Tasmania’s healthcare system.
