A roughly one-and-a-half-hour webinar about hypertension management, organised by the Cardiac Community Network and is supported by Primary Health Tasmania in partnership with the Tasmanian Health Service GP Liaison Officers.
The Cardiac Community Network has been set up with the aim to improve communication and collaboration between primary and secondary care services, focusing on the management of cardiac related conditions.

High blood pressure, which is a major risk factor for heart disease in Tasmania. Tasmania has the highest proportion of residents with hypertension.
The Heart Foundation identifies that 40.9% of adult Tasmanians have hypertension, compared with 31.6% nationally.
Our discussion will provide an update on; current management guidelines, including medication interactions, appropriate investigations to conduct, and when it is appropriate to refer patients to a specialist.
