This seminar, presented by Primary Health Tasmania in partnership with the Communicable Disease Prevention Unit (CDPU) at the Department of Health Tasmania, provided an immunisation-focused education session developed specifically for general practice nurses. The session addressed key topics identified in the recent Practice Nurse Poll and offered practical guidance, updates, and resources to support the essential role of nurses in immunisation delivery across Tasmania.
Participants also had the opportunity to hear directly from CDPU Clinical Nurse Consultants and connect with members of the wider primary care workforce. The session created space for sharing experiences, strengthening professional networks, and supporting practice nurses who often work in isolation.
